CranioSacral Therapy (CST)

CST uses gentle touch to assist the release of the body’s soft tissues including fascia. Fascia (Latin word for “band”) is a covering found throughout the body in and around organs, glands, nerves, muscles, blood vessels, the brain and spinal cord. This covering forms a body-wide connective network. CST is based on the idea that the best method of correcting an imbalance is inherent within each of us. By locating and offering support to the source of imbalance, the body’s natural healing processes is enhanced.

Releasing tension ~ or strain patterns ~ in soft tissue is deeply nourishing to both the musculoskeletal and central nervous system ~ the brain and spinal cord. By freeing the central nervous system to perform at its best, CST may be valuable in helping :

  • Migraines and Headaches

  • Chronic Neck and Back Pain

  • Stress and Tension-Related Disorders
